 Empower Grieving ChildrenBranding the magic of connection

Agency: Team Design StudioRole: Visual Design, UI/UX

Empower is an international nonprofit that supports, connects, and empowers children and young adults who have experienced the loss of a parent. It is more than just mentorship — the sense of community and meaningful personal touches can be magical.
We’ve bottled the magic, the secret ingredients of passion, care, energy, and camaraderie that bring Empower’s vision to life. Framing devices and a bold, uplifting wordmark create a scalable system highlighting everyday magic moments.

I’ve worked with the Associate Director from research, concept, logo design, to developing design directions, and delivering design assets and logo animation.

She’s Going to Tokyo

Capturing the inner lives of Olympians through a sensory-driven campaign
Agency: Team Design StudioRole: Visual Design, Motion

“She’s Going to Tokyo” is a digital campaign that I was fully involved in at Butter Studio. I worked closely with the art director on research, concept, visual experiments, animation, and production. The visuals express Butter Studio’s interviews with ten female Olympians, conducted at the start of the pandemic.

 In April and May 2020, we interviewed 10 female Olympians(from many different sports and countries) who were planning to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games. The interviews focused on what we call the “Seven Senses,” sight, smell, taste, touch, sound, mind, and body. We wanted to know what the overlooked details of their day-to-day are, the little things that bring them joy, and their ways of finding solace in the minutia.

Kumu Yakiniku Crafting a refined brand identity for a modern Wagyu dining experience

Client: Kumu Yakiniku, Beijing, ChinaRole: Art Direction &#38;amp; Visual Design

&#38;nbsp;

Kumu Yakiniku Lounge Izakaya is a Wagyu beef restaurant in Beijing that reinterprets Japanese cuisine with a modern twist. I worked closely with the commissioner to come to a minimal yet detailed approach, with a design system including concept development, visual identity, and environmental graphics. Inspired by the earliest stone carvings, Kumu Yakiniku’s high-quality dining experience is expressed through bilingual custom typography. In addition, the earthy quality of the logos, with its copper-gold color and material textures, reflects the brand’s close relationship with nature.

		<description>Women In Soccer&#38;nbsp;
Changing the Game, Our Way

Advancing equity in women’s soccer through a dynamic and distinctive brand identity.
Agency: Butter StudioRole: Visual Design, Motion&#38;nbsp;

At Butter Studio, I worked on Women in Soccer(WIS)’s logo design, graphics assets, animation and web UX/UI design. WIS is a new pioneer driving equity in sports. Founded by lifelong footballer, Courtney Levinsohn, it is a professional network connecting all women in and around the beautiful game. The goal: foster equity by creating better opportunities for women in the game.
We partnered with WIS to create the face of their company: a visual identity applied to web design and marketing assets. Inspired by the aesthetic traditions of football culture—kits, trading cards, signage, team crests—we developed a design system that feels like anything but a typical non-profit. Our goal was to develop a unique personality for WIS that bridges professional with powerful and fun. The result is an identity that clearly breaks the male-dominated aesthetic prevalent in sport, asserting women’s power in the game and beyond.

Baby-Led Weaning RebrandBuilding a playful, trust-driven identity for a leading baby nutrition platform

Agency: Team Design StudioRole: Visual Design, UI/UX, Illustration System

Baby-Led Weaning is the largest digital community dedicated to empowering parents and caregivers to give their babies a safe start to solid foods. Inspired by the unique forms of food, the flexible visual system uses a bold cut-out style to bring a playful sensory feeling to life.
Baby-Led Weaning’s new logo and typeface balance fun with trusted familiarity, while a deep color palette is based on the rich hues of nutrient-dense foods. The new identity encapsulates Baby-Led Weaning’s evidence-based, hands-on approach — establishing them as the go-to experts for families building healthy eating habits.
I collaborated with creative directors on the brand identity, covering concepts, logo design, and visual exploration. I developed a custom illustration library for the brand. Additionally, I worked on the UI/UX design for the website, managing tasks like wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design.

		<description>Tilda – An Unconventional ConsultancyTranslating business growth into a clear and scalable brand identity

Agency: Butter StudioRole: Visual Design

Tilda is a sales consultancy in New York City. I assisted the creative director on Tilda’s visual identity and web layout when I was at Butter Studio. We helped Tilda launch their firm and, in turn, fostered their mission to grow more businesses. We developed their company name, brand strategy, visual identity, website, and social graphics. See it for yourself in action, visit the website. The website has won two Awwwards: Honors and Mobile!
The Concept: The name 'Tilda' is short for 'Matilda,' and despite our 90's Roald Dahl nostalgia, actually means "mighty in battle," in Latin. The tone of the name we developed for this Brooklyn-based consultancy is strong but soft and feminine. A mix of trustworthy and established, but fresh and unexpected. The typeface we used for the logo, called Platform, has a wide 'D' and 'A', giving the sense that the word is expanding to the right, which reflects the core of Tilda's services: helping businesses grow. The brand mark and a stacked variation of the logo are built on the same concept of 'up and to the right, growth'. We also developed a series of photo collages combining shapes with images of inspiring cities and powerful natural landscapes. The result is an overarching tone of potential and scaling new heights.

		<description>Placefulness is a nature-themed immersive experience exploring our sense of place and presence. Author Jenny Odell defines 'placefulness' as living with a grounded consciousness in the present time and location. The installation, Placefulness, invites the viewers to contemplate a sequence of specific surroundings that activate our senses to connect with the present. The work juxtaposes minimal interpretations of nature with realistic nature sounds, creating an unexpected poetic encounter.

		<description>

This motion poster series is inspired by Ingrid Fetell Lee's TED talk "Where Joy Hides And How To Find It." Lee studies joy and reveals how we can find more of it in the world around us. Each animated poster aims to illustrate different ways to find joy mentioned in the talk. While the cheerful color palette and dynamic compositions visually communicate the theme, the aesthetics of joy.
